Merge proposal
[edit]A colleague proposed merging George F. Green (disambiguation) (or rather, George F. Green) into George Green (disambiguation).
- Oppose. As a heavy Dab editor, i sympathize over the annoyance of maintaining similar entries for the same people in different Dabs. However, in this case the additional difficulty presented to users trying to take advantage of knowing the middle initial, of being dumped into a 13-entry Dab where only one middle initial can be deduced seems to me unconscionably obstructive. This case, if not all {{hndis}} ones, should be handled by one comment on the accompanying Dab page indicating that these 3 appear on the other, and a comment on each of the 3's entries on the other, saying that they appear here.
(Further, in this case, all 3 are presumably dead, so the amount of maintenance needed should be minimal!)
