Encyclopedic style needed

[edit]

Today's edit (16 Sept 2008) contains much useful information which should be reatined, but it needs to be rewritten in a more encyclopedic style. It now reads as if copied from an article about him, and I wonder about copyright violation. Also some of the statements are excessively enthusiastic with no real content and should be removed, for example "George Pimentel’s research has had a profound effect on chemistry". What does that actually mean? Dirac66 (talk) 16:11, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The addition was apparently copied from National Academies Press so I have reverted it. ChemGardener (talk) 03:11, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK. I have however added this National Academy of Sciences site as an external link, to make the information accessible without copyvio. Dirac66 (talk) 21:32, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A portrait-picture and other pictures always improve an article. Good article. -- Charles Edwin Shipp (talk) 19:27, 12 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Inert gas bonding and compounds

Professor Pimentel said that his early submissions on the subject were tabled for many years by the journals. Was this a matter of national security? 71.193.43.251 (talk) 14:46, 25 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
