I am asking you not to delete or edit spontaneously something in this list, because I was spending years collecting information and I can give you a lot of reasons about every position: why is it here (or isn't). I'm a big George Benson's admirer and have a lot of his records (more than 200 LPs and CDs of George Benson & related music) so I have checked all information before writing about it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Horseman16 (talkcontribs) 23:33, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

George Benson with The McCoy Tyner Trio - Round Midnight (LP)

[edit]

Well, I saw at Rate Your Music website that this live album was released also on LP: http://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/george_benson/round_midnight/ But I haven't found this LP anywhere. Could somebody help me to find out, whether this album was released on LP or not?

By the way, this album can be found in cd format in some webshops, for example amazon: http://www.amazon.de/Round-Midnight-George-Benson/dp/B00005LQEI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1307251934&sr=1-1 --Horseman16 (talk) 09:09, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal

[edit]

I propose that George Benson albums and singles in charts be merged into this page. It's a frivolous list of peak positions that should be covered on his discography page rather than on a separate list. This is the norm for every other artist's discography page, and I see no reason why that should be different here. --Highway99 (talk) 15:41, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, the article George Benson albums and singles in charts haven't any source. How can you merge that page with this if there are no source? The second, what exactly do you want to add from that page? --Horseman16 (talk) 08:31, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

George Benson: Live (LD)

[edit]

Recently I found on the LaserDisc Database website that some George Benson's live performance was released on laserdisc in Japan[1]. The laserdisc era is 80s and 90s, so most likely it shouldn't be "Absolutely Live" (because it was released in 2001) and "Live at Montreux 1986" (it was released in 2005). If somebody have some information please share it. --Horseman16 (talk) 08:53, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

George Benson does appear on a compilation laserdisc, "Brothers - Top Of Black Music Vol.1" he only performs one track, "This Masquerade" and it is a music video rather than a live performance. I asked my buyer in Tokyo, he cannot find any information/sales etc. of this Cathcam (talk) 23:39, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Little George Benson - It Should Have Been Me (deleted from discography)

[edit]

The track title "It Should Have Been Me" was deleted from this discography, because it haven't mentioned anywhere. Earlier the site http://www.aaron-richard.com/index.htm (in 2009, now it's offline) provided with info that composition "It Should Have Been Me" was reissed on compilation titled "Rockin' Is Not Our Business", but actually there are only "It Should Have Been Me #2". Moreover, the site http://www.globaldogproductions.info/g/groove.html (the site-discography of 45 rpm singles of Groover Records) doesn't have any information about "It Should Have Been Me", but another two tracks mentioned in the list of Groove Records releases. Seems like it doesn't exist. --Horseman16 (talk) 02:29, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Relevance

[edit]

Regarding the template for long article, I hardly see the relevance of most of the discs listed under "albums as sideman". On many of them, he is listed as a backing vocalist on only a single track. The same could be also said about the "singles as sideman" as well. Interview albums and interview singles??? Stretching here aren't we? A few more categories are pretty much irrelevant. Splitting the article might improve it's usefulness. Opinion only, I am not removing anything, hopefully just starting a fruitful discussion.Frankzappatwin (talk) 11:42, 10 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Oh! And by the way, what is this list doing on the talk page?Frankzappatwin (talk) 11:44, 10 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
