Hello. I have alerted the original authors of the article concerning these issues. I personally would prefer not to intervene in editing (I might actually worsen the article), as my role is limited to translation. The only thing I would suggest is not to view Hull exclusively as "Australia-related", as his work in Timor and Italy/Switzerland gives him international, or at least intercontinental - Australia, South-East Asia, Europe - stature. - Project tagging is not exclusive - the article can be and should be a member of as many projects as are relevant to the topic. As for the issues on the article, there is a HUGE focus at the moment of ensuring that all biographies of living people are referenced and verified. Verifiability is what is most important, not truth or importance or anything else. You need to find some reliable sources that backup the claims made in the article. Having it be a translation of an article on another wiki isn't enough. If you need any help, please just ask here or on my talk page. The-Pope (talk) 06:56, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
- Many thanks to LombardBeige for what he did. --Padaneis (talk) 12:20, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
No thanks required. It was a pleasure. To upgrade the article, I found this in the English language Wiki article on Bishop Martinho da Costa Lopes:
Quote: Former Australian Prime Minister Whitlam, called the bishop "a liar, who was simply stirring up trouble".[citation needed] However his denunciations proved so controversial and supported by outside agencies that Indonesia could no longer tolerate them. Unquote.
More information on the subject:
Quote:Former prime minister Gough Whitlam, long condemned for his tacit approval of Indonesia's invasion of East Timor in 1975, is said to have been instrumental in the removal of Church leader Dom Martinho da Costa Lopes. Unquote.

I leave it to the Wiki experts to integrate this information correctly into the Article.

- Now it looks like there are references enough. As to me, I am looking for even more references. I agree that some wikiexperts should properly format the article now. Thanks once more, --Padaneis (talk) 18:18, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
- Now I have more referenced information, so I'll try to edit the article as soon as possible. Thanks once more to LombardBeige --Padaneis (talk) 11:42, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
- No particular trouble if this article is deleted, unless this prevents recreation under sourced material. Thanks.--Padaneis (talk) 12:34, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

New Version
[edit]Hello, a new version, to meet wikipedia standards has been written. Please have a look. Wikifying now. Thanks--Padaneis (talk) 21:54, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
- Wikified - If there are no objections, I would like to remove the "unsourced" template. Thanks --Padaneis (talk) 22:12, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
- A few third party references added. Kind regards, --Padaneis (talk) 15:39, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
Categories
[edit]Perhaps some categories are out of place, seemingly those referring to "languages". Or is it common practice? All in all a linguist is not a language, but the two are of course related. Thanks --Padaneis (talk) 22:47, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
The article Esperança, João Paulo does not exist at the English wikipedia. However, pt:João Paulo T. Esperança does, so perhaps a translation should be/will be made in the future. Regards, --Padaneis (talk) 13:09, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
