Merging Geodetic network and Control network
[edit]Geodetic network and Control network are overlapping each other. They should probably benefit from being merged and also from being moved to Geodetic control network. —Johan G (KJG2007 | talk) 19:03, 5 March 2013 (UTC)
- Done. I agree with KJG2007, so I did steps 1-4 of the WP:FMERGE process and moved the partially-merged article to geodetic control network. It only took me 3 years to get this far; I hope the remaining steps take fewer years :-). --DavidCary (talk) 15:47, 9 August 2016 (UTC)
Suggestions for improvement
[edit](And note to self...)
Some things that could be added are:
- Other types of networks than triangular, for example traverse networks
- Active networks, in essence those used in Network Real Time Kinematic (NRTK) networks (See Real Time Kinematic)/Continuously Operating Reference Station (CORS) networks
- What horizontal, vertical and 3D datums are
- Some illustrations
- More references, both for verification by laymen and for those who wish to read more
