Short description
[edit]The user GhostInThe Machine changed the short description to “Evolutionary algorithm to handle errors“, which is definitely not what the described repair mechanisms are. They are an optional part of an EA and not a specialized EA for error handling. Nevertheless, this drew my attention to my misleading wording in the first sentence, which I have now corrected: It is not about the elimination of errors caused by the genetic operators but about the correction of restriction violations caused by them. “Error” is too general a term here and therefore misleading. - The short description should be short. It also needs to be understandable to the man on the Clapham omnibus as a disambiguation, rather than trying to define the topic. I do find the whole article vague on context – is it about something that happens in real-life biology or is it talking about some form of software process modelled on biological processes? Sorry, but I think that the opening sentences needs some more work — GhostInTheMachine talk to me 21:39, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks. I will try to improve the introduction accordingly in the next few days. Studi90 (talk) 16:14, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
