Removals

[edit]

I removed NPOV text vociferously decrying the accusations of corruption by appealing to Gerasimov's being instrumental in promoting peace. Being an active pacifist is no proof against corruption; moreover the only claim is that he stands accused of corruption and money laundering, not that he is in fact corrupt. Please remember that this is an encyclopedia and not a conversation. --Il hamster (talk) 20:17, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the corruption claims. This is a biography of a living person, contentious material must not be included without good referencing. Hut 8.5 19:50, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

And how could one possible be the Soviet Ambassador to Portugal from 1990 until 1995??? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.121.102.84 (talk) 22:43, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've changed it to "Russian" - not strictly accurate but that's how all the sources describe him. Hut 8.5 23:12, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

External link?

[edit]

Would an interview with transcript with Gennady Gerasimov from 1987 be useful here as an external link? Focus of conversation is nuclear weapons policy. http://openvault.wgbh.org/catalog/V_4510160E5676434AA58549C84B38EC2A (I have a conflict of interest; otherwise I would add it myself.)
