Article name
[edit]Article should be at General Cinemas Companies Inc., which is already a redirect to AMC Theatres. --Wirbelwindヴィルヴェルヴィント (talk) 04:28, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- It did not show up in the Wiki Search when I typed "General Cinema". In my opinion, this article should be merged with General Cinemas Companies Inc., instead of being a redirect to AMC Theatres. General Cinemas I believe is notable enough to have its own article because the chain was so large until its bankruptcy and acquisition.--jonrev (talk) 04:46, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- I know, I had a few of them in my city too. But it still needs to be nominated for a move. --Wirbelwindヴィルヴェルヴィント (talk) 05:01, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Weird statement
[edit]"The company suffered greatly when it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in October 2000 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy in October 2001."
This is just odd, it is phrased like it intends to tell the reader why it suffered with the start of it, but the just craps out on the explanation and describes the result. WHAT did the company suffer that CAUSED it to go into C11 and then C7? What happened? What decisions were made that played out poorly? Theaters were not doing that badly "way back then".
