Gelete Burika → Gelete Burka —
- According to the IAAF, "Burika" is a misspelling — GirasoleDE (talk) 01:08, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
- It has been proposed to move this page to Gelete Burka, with the following rationale:
"Burika" is misspelling according to http://www.iaaf.org/news/athletes/newsid=35218.html.
I decided to decline the move for now, since this page still uses "Burika" as the main name. After checking Google count on the two spellings and seeing that Google even asked "Did you mean: "Gelete Burka", I decided to do the move anyway, but when I realized that this page also lists her complete name with the same spelling, I thought I'd better ask here first. — Sebastian 02:01, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

- Thank you for adding this, but that's actually just complicating things. I went a bit back and forward on this, as I summarized above. No need to follow my thought process. What matters is that the article text should match the proposed name. That is now the case, after this edit. Since nobody has objected so far, I am assuming the move is uncontroversial, and I will be performing it. — Sebastian 16:24, 14 September 2009 (UTC)

Why is Natalia Rodriguez incident not mentioned as the reason Burka finished tenth in 2009?
[edit]"She was a finalist at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics, but finished last in tenth place."
Burka was the favorite to win the 1500m in the 2009 IAAF World Championships, and in the lead, when she was pushed by Natalia Rodriguez and fell. Rodriguez nominally finished first, but was disqualified. The present wording makes it sound like Burka simply turned in a poor performance, and erases a very notable incident.
