This article needs outside, independent, reliable sources to tell us why Gavin Devine is worthy of note. The fact that he's written for HuffPost or that his opinions have been quoted once before, is not enough. There are a lot of people who have jobs and whose opinions are recorded either the local news, or in other venues. That doesn't make them encyclopedic. In town, everybody knows my Uncle Joey the plumber. Once, he wrote a letter to President Reagan, and got a response. It's framed in his den. If my hard-working Uncle Joey thought that he deserved a Wikipedia article, I'd slap him clean across the face. If the subject's notability cannot be properly established by sources independent of the subject, the article will be deleted. See WP:RS, WP:NORCyphoidbomb (talk) 08:42, 3 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
