GA Review

This looks pretty good! Just one question... Is there are there any more reviews of this book out there. Angelou is a controversial writer and I'm sure there are more perspectives out there. Wrad (talk) 18:02, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Wrad. I like how you changed the headings. I made one small change, though: I changed the "Self-consciousness" heading to "Identity", because that better parallels the reviews of MA's other books, especially I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings), and of both that WP article and her bio page. To answer your question--what, seven references aren't enough? ;) Actually, I'm kinda serious about that. There are plenty of other GAs out there with comparable numbers of references, or even less. It's also true that, as it states in this article, although MA is an important (and controversial) author, this book simply isn't as important or as well-received as Caged Bird. As a result, there isn't the nearly the same amount of scholarship done on this book. I believe that GA is about as high a rating as this article's gonna get. It simply doesn't have the potential to be an FA, which is okay because not every WP article should be, I believe. I believe that it can become a GA, though. --Figureskatingfan (talk) 05:30, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I wondered if that was the case. I'll take your word for it. Wrad (talk) 05:32, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
