- ... that the best novel of American science fiction author Garrett Smith did not appear as a stand-alone book until over 60 years after his death? Source: https://sf-encyclopedia.com/entry/smith_garret ; see this and other sources for praise for Treasures of Tantalus which didn't appear in print (it was originally serialized in a magazine in 1920) until 2017

T:DYK/P2Stub or start?
[edit]Since there's some disagreement, I'll ask for input at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Biography. IMHO this is not a stub as it is (yes, barely) over the 250 words/1500 characters of prose treshold, and it is comprehensive (with regards to sources known - there is nothing more in these sources to add here). - Personally I'd say it's just about a "Start", though with slightly more content and some sections it would definitely be start-class. ORES also predicts "start" at almost 69%. -Kj cheetham (talk) 20:50, 27 October 2022 (UTC)
- @Kj cheetham Thanks. I'd add more but the sources I have access to are very, very bare. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:04, 28 October 2022 (UTC)
