Anisa’s Comments: Gaps in Regulation of Chemical Agents What does the article (or section) do well? - Great definitions of all of the terms (organophosphates, lachrymation)

What changes would you suggest overall? - Citations after radium are not embedded into the article. This could be due to just copying and pasting from word, but it is just something to keep in mind. - Discovery subheading: this passage starts with the word “it.” Change that “it” to radium so it is clear what “it” is referring to. o Why were pursuits with radium unsuccessful? What happened during experimentation? - Radium Girls: American inventor, William J. Hammer, (add commas) o Did all of the women develop fatal radium poisoning? What are the symptoms for it/did they experience those? How long did it take for them to die? o Dial painter, Grace Fryer, (add commas) o Expand on the Manhattan Project: maybe add a “See Also” page linking the Manhattan Project; What was its mission/what did it accomplish?

What is the most important thing that the author could do to improve his/her contribution? - Is radium the only chemical agent you are commenting on? I would expand on other chemical agents and how they contribute to diseases affecting humans. I also wonder how it affected families living nearby the factory.

Did you glean anything from your classmate's work that could be applicable to your own? - Found the Radium Girls passage to be extremely interesting!

What does the article (or section) do well? I liked how specific you were able to get with the mechanism of organophosphates What changes would you suggest overall? provide more background about what youre talking about, the first section is titled Mevinphos but after reading I still dont know what that means, I would include more stuff about the effects of radium poisoning on the body, label the organophoshpate and radium sections differently What is the most important thing that the author could do to improve his/her contribution? use headings and structure to be more clear about what your topic is and what your focus is because it is a tiny bit muddled right now Did you glean anything from your classmate's work that could be applicable to your own? I liked how you sectioned the radium girls and were able to have anecdotal information without throwing off your structure Sr183155 (talk) 15:51, 28 February 2020 (UTC)Ruchi[reply]

Not sure about this article

[edit]

1) The title is inherently WP:POV 2) I don't think it should be capitalized. Maybe a move to Hazards of pesticides or something similar, or merge those parts into Pesticide poisoning? Invasive Spices (talk) 15:14, 20 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
