Neutral Point of View

[edit]

Hello Galliocenterforthearts,

I have reverted your edits on this article because they do not adhere to Wikipedia's neutral point of view standards. I understand you are expanding the article to help the Gallio Center for the Arts and so that it may be a helpful source of information to readers as there is not much on at the moment. There are however a few important guidelines to follow.

  • Wikipedia is not a soapbox or means of promotion, I think you are using Wikipedia to promote the Gallio Center for the Art. Wikipedia should not promote of demote anything. You can promote the centre on your own website.
  • Wikipedia is written from a neutral point of view, Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia not one person's opinion. An example of one of your non-neutral statements is 'The Gallo Center for the Arts is an outstanding community asset'. That is an opinion and should not be on Wikipedia.
  • Heading should not be done in bolded capitals, this is infact discouraged. See the heading article in the manual of style.
  • External links (links surrounded by single brackets), such as the ones you had to resident companies should be placed in a list format under the external links section down the bottom and not in the article. Internal links (double brackets), link to other Wikipedia articles and can be place in the article.
  • You need to add references to your information source. See Citing Sources.

There is a few more points but those are the main ones, I see that you are a new user and I don't want to overwhelm you with policy. If you need an example of a good theatre article see Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, this article is featured meaning it has good content and style. If you need any other help about the article, reply to this post by adding your reply in the line below proceeded by a ':' (without quotes) to create an indent. For general help about how to use Wikipedia add a section to my talk page. Thanks for your time. EvilKeyboardCat (talk) 21:44, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
