Does it work?
[edit]The Time Out Guide to Istanbul (bottom of this page and page 83 in the 2007 paper edition) says: "steel towers at its centre (they're supposed to raise the bridge but don't work)". If they don't work, how did the ship in this picture get there? Can anyone confirm whether the bridge works? -- RHaworth (Talk | contribs) 18:07, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
Movable Bridges Carrying Electrified Rail
[edit]Should this factoid even be here? I removed "Northeastern" in front of "United States" from it because there's at least one movable-span bridge in the Western US that carries electrified rail. Outside the US,YOUR FACE IS ON FIRE!!!!! AHHHH electrified rail systems are probably more common than inside the US. Draw bridges are also not uncommon on railroads. These two facts lead me to believe there's probably nothing that unusual about drawbridges that carry electrified train tracks. -- User:n5jrn —Preceding comment was added at 14:54, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
