[edit]- verbatim copy of part of Talk:Helen Sobel Smith#Sources -P64
- "As Female Stars Remarry, Confusion may be a result". Alan Truscott. NYT. April 15, 1985 —
That one is generally valuable and not foremost concerning Helen MWSS. I readily found this seeking an obituary by Truscott, who was the NYTimes bridge columnist from 1964.

- That is original this month and cross-posted also at Talk:Edith Freilich#Sources (Edith Kemp Freilich).
Gail HSMG is the primary subject of that column; her play is featured. She had married one Jack Greenberg recently and had asked to be known as Gail Harte Greenberg, "recovering" a maiden name.

Name
[edit]Harte may be her birth surname (see Truscott, above) --either that or a middlename. (From another source I understood surname Shane, and believed youth star Shane Blanchard to be named for his great grandfather's family.)
She achieved greatness as Gail Moss (World International Master?) and was long known as Gail Moss Greenberg. I made Gail Moss Greenberg a "printworthy redirect" for some listings under M someday.

A notable family
[edit]It looks as though Gail Greenberg may not only be the mother of Brad Moss but also of Jill Levin, but the reference I used isn't quite so clear about the latter relationship so I need to do further checking. Life would be so much simpler if only women didn't change their last names on marriage! JH (talk page) 20:24, 24 December 2014 (UTC)
