Ethnic groups
In the infobox, it is stated that 6.7 percent of the population are of French origin. However, in the article, the number seems to be about 10 000 to 20 000 people, which is not nearly 6.7 percent. Where are these statistics in the infobox from? Blåmes (talk) 20:59, 24 April 2017 (UTC)
I also disagree with the 6.7 percent figure for French Gabonese. I cannot find a single source online which verifies this claim, so I assume that it is factually incorrect. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:CCD3:2410:71B5:70D7:5776:A4D7 (talk) 10:14, 16 August 2017 (UTC)

Is English really the official language?
Has English really taken over as the official language of the Gabonese Republic or have they hold off on that policy? sion8 talk page 22:14, 21 November 2019 (UTC)
Education
I'm a bit confused with the quote, "In 2002 the gross primary enrollment rate was 132 percent," in that how can 132% of the population be enrolled in primary school? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nickenzi (talk • contribs) 06:22, 17 October 2016 (UTC)
- "The gross enrollment rate (GER) is the total enrollment in a specific level of education, regardless of age, expressed as a percentage of the population in the official age group corresponding to this level of education. The GER can exceed 100% because of early or late entry and/or grade repetition." https://inee.org/eie-glossary/gross-enrollment-rate-ger Dgndenver (talk) 11:25, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
George Bush
Why is there a George Bush II image on a page about Gabon?
People visiting here to see images of Gabon are confronted by the partial features of a previous president of a remote country.
His image also resides on pages for Bahrain, Dominican Republic, Ghana, Kenya, Latvia, Mali, Nigeria and Romania.
George Bush Jnr admirers, please place his image on his page only. B. Fairbairn (talk) 13:32, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
- There are currently 3 pictures of Gabon government officials and other countries' (US twice, Russia once). First is indeed with GWB. Is that the one you mean? I'm not sure if/why it should be removed if the other 2 are kept. The Crab Who Played With The Sea (talk) 21:53, 12 April 2022 (UTC)

Presidential term limit
I have removed a statement to the effect that the removal of a presidential term limit facilitated a possible presidency for life. The former notion is an interesting fact; the latter is an unecessary pejorative. It would be odd to read that the German or UK, say, constitutions facilitate a possible Chancellorship or Prime Ministership for life; references to constitutions elsewhere are no different.
