Inaccuracy inquiry from COI editor
[edit]Part of an edit requested by an editor with a conflict of interest has been implemented. |
Hi, I work for GOOD Worldwide so have a conflict of interest, but wanted to inquire about corrections to some inaccuracies to this article.
- "The magazine was abruptly shut down in 2012, with most of its editors fired in a single day." -> While the company did lay off some of the editorial staff as the reference states, the magazine continues to be published. Issue 028 (The GOOD 100 2013) was published in March (http://shop.good.is/product/issue-028-the-good-100), and Issue 029 (Exploration) will be published in June 2013.
- "the online platform is made up of four components: magazine, news, finder, and maker." -> the online platform was relaunched in September of 2012 as a social network for social good. It incorporates features of Finder (users can contributed links to the site) and functions as a social network (vs. a media site). Finder no longer exists on its own.

I've numbered them to make it easier to respond. For 1, the source literally says "most" but it does not say it shut down, so I took that out. For 2 please provide a specific request edit, such as "change X to Y". Number 3 only provides a link to the company website, but we require independent sources from credible authors (books, academics, press, etc.). For 4, editors with a COI often want to add social media links, but we generally do not. CorporateM (Talk) 16:41, 30 July 2013 (UTC)
