Title

[edit]

"(1960s)" isn't a recommended disambiguator per WP:NCDAB, not is it totally accurate, as the company had a history beyond the 1960s. Are there any other options? BilCat (talk) 01:51, 8 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If we can fix the start date (which is conspicuously absent from the article) we could use "(196x–1993)". But that's assuming the "1960s" is a correct starting date, as the article simply jumps into some activity like they were around already. In fact, from the Lockheed Martin Space article, it appears it was actually only owned by GE from 1986 to 1993, as it was an RCA unit (that was founded in 1958) that GE acquired when they bought (back) ownership of RCA in 1986. So the title is triply dubious, as not only is the disambiguation bad form, but the date is inaccurate, and even naming it GE is likely a poor choice of WP:COMMONNAME. oknazevad (talk) 19:05, 7 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
