Fushanosaurus length from Dutch Wikipedia page

[edit]

Unfortunately Sci-hub is not working to open the paper. However when I used a translator tool on the Dutch wikipedia page on Fushanosaurus, it said the different scaling estimates, 30 and 20 meters, were based on Mamenchisaurus and a typical titanosauriform respectively. See here: https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fushanosaurus#Beschrijving Dutch translator here: https://www.google.com/search?sxsrf=ACYBGNTjuAw_CqmMkXUFJbmbdLzA0p7J1A%3A1572362228611&source=hp&ei=9Fe4XcKKIYyb_QaXkIawDg&q=dutch+to+english&oq=dutch+to+english&gs_l=psy-ab.3..0l10.901.3478..3775...0.0..1.467.2447.1j8j2j1j1......0....1..gws-wiz.......35i39j0i131._aEBqtF3cFM&ved=0ahUKEwjC1Nzg4cHlAhWMTd8KHReIAeYQ4dUDCAg&uact=5 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jfraatz (talkcontribs) 15:25, 29 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The paper is freely accessible on the chinese website but the paper beyond the abstract is entirely in Mandarin, so I can't verify the claims. Also the user who wrote the dutch article, User:MWAK is very active on the English wikipedia, so you could ask them why they added it. Hemiauchenia (talk) 19:55, 29 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
My Mandarin must be getting rusty ;o).--MWAK (talk) 08:58, 1 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

To Hemiauchenia's edit summary, I'm a native Chinese speaker. I can read what it says. Lythronaxargestes (talk | contribs) 18:50, 31 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Lythronaxargestes Would it be possible for you to produce an english translation of the text? The paper describing Xinjiangtitan is also fully in Mandarin beyond the abstract. [[paleoglot.org]] is a website entirely dedicated to translations of foreign-language papers into english, so you could contribute it there.Hemiauchenia (talk) 19:05, 31 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Full translations are probably beyond the limit of my time commitments at this point in time (although I'm a native speaker, I've never used the language in a scientific context, so I still struggle with deciphering some of the terms). I'm happy to clarify anything that's unclear from applying Google Translate to the text, though. Lythronaxargestes (talk | contribs) 20:31, 31 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
