Hello, I'm here to review your GA nomination. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 01:04, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox

[edit]
  • Should have "Alt".
I asked User:DannyMusicEditor for help with this parameter since I was having trouble trying to come up with a good description. Hope his description is appropriate for you. Yeepsi (talk) 21:39, 7 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

 Done

Lead

[edit]
  • is an EP by English rock band Basement → is an EP recorded by English rock band Basement
  • second album Colourmeinkindness. → date of the release
  • In July, the Further Sky EP was released → In 28 July, 2014 the Further Sky EP was released
  • to positive reviews. → and met positive reviews.
  • This section is quite weak, you need to add some opinion from the reviewers, generalize it. Style of the EP, availability for streaming three days before
  • After that perhaps two paragraphs?

 Done

Background

[edit]
  • because of personal commitments → due to personal commitments
  • later → when?
  • due to→ because
  • Andrew's younger brother → Fisher's younger brother
  • The band explained that they had thought the hiatus... → The band thought the hiatus...

 Done

Composition and recording

[edit]
  • Basement came together to practice while Henery was home for Christmas in 2013.The practice was initially "just [...] for fun". Although the band had ideas, composing material was accidental according to Henery → so was he at home for Christmas or not? This sentence is a huge mess.
  • Content with the song, it was recorded with an iPhone. → who was? who recorded it? The entire song or just the raw part of it?
It also needs source. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 13:45, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • While Henery resided in the US, the rest of the band had composed "Summer's Colour" → While Henery was residing in the US, the rest of the band had composed "Summer's Colour" → where?
  • You should had rock to the genre section in the infobox as well.
  • hints → influences
  • but not far removed from Colourmeinkindness → but not far from Colourmeinkindness

 Done

Release

[edit]
  • announced for release → announced as the band's next project to be released.
  • and "Summer's Colour" → and the track "Summer's Colour"
  • The band toured Australia, and Japan, and at sold out American venues between 26 July and 20 August → Basement toured between 26 July and 20 August in Australia, Japan, and sold out American venues.
  • the band → Basement
  • with support from Cloakroom → with Cloakroom and Newmoon as the opening act. (not sure if this is right?)

 Done

Reception

[edit]
  • Remove the alternative press score of the board, seems bias.
  • So whats the conclusion were the reviews favorable or not?
  • He described → LaGambina described
  • thought the songs were "well put together" → what do you mean?
  • His only criticism of the EP was that the percussion sounded "a bit cymbal heavy." → The only criticism the reviewer appointed to the EP was the percussion which sounded "a bit cymbal heavy."
  • thought that the EP → thought the EP
  • Is Punknews.org a reliable source? I mean look at the name of the reviewer.
It's listed in WP:ALBUM/SOURCE. Yeepsi (talk) 21:39, 7 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

 Done

Track listing

[edit]
  • You claim that all the music was composed by "Basement", so why is there Dan Goudie credited as a producer?
I'm not sure what you mean. Producers don't always write material with bands. Yeepsi (talk) 21:39, 7 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
When you say composed you mean "writing ad produced by"...MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 13:34, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Could use a "tracklist" column.

 Done

Personnel

[edit]

 Done

Notes and references

[edit]
  • Change its name only to references.

 Done

Footnotes

[edit]
  • Merge it with the section below and keep the name "Footnotes".

 Done

References

[edit]
  • You have three dead links here, find and archive them.
  • Make "Sources" a section.
  • AVOID SHOUTING!!
  • Some have work and publisher, others have work.
I can't find the publisher for Sputnikmusic, but I've done the rest. Yeepsi (talk) 21:39, 7 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • You should link AllMusic, Alternative Press, AbsolutePunk, Punknews.org and so on...
Only linked once. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 13:41, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Don't italicize AllMusic, AbsolutePunk, PopMatters, Punknews.org and Sputnikmusic

 Done

[edit]
  • Fine.

Overall GA review

[edit]
Thanks for taking this! Apologies for not working on this sooner, I've had little internet access this past week. Yeepsi (talk) 20:11, 7 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I've done almost every point, apart from the Track listing points and the dead links (I'll fix the links tomorrow since archive.org isn't working for me at the moment). Yeepsi (talk) 21:39, 7 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Yeepsi: I will give you a couple more days to finish what's missing or what has to be address yet. Good luck. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 13:42, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I've done the remaining points. Yeepsi (talk) 14:19, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I Have an indecision regarding using a "trakclist" column with only three tracks. Can you give me an example of a GA or FA article like this? MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 16:58, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Do you mean the track listing template? If so, Stop Crying Your Heart Out and Transfusion (EP) don't use the template. Yeepsi (talk) 17:15, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The latter example. Now passing MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 17:31, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
