No merge

[edit]

On 12/22/06, User:Deon Steyn put a merge tag on this page. This is a separate type of race not sanction by the “Ironman” organization. --Sadi Carnot 03:45, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect

[edit]

6/20/07 Since the correct terminology is "Full distance triathlon", not "Iron Distance triathlon", shouldn't this page link to "Full distance triathlon" instead of visa versa? Ironman is a registered trademark of the company that runs the Ironman Triathlon races. -- Triathlete

7/11/07, I have redirected this consistent with the comments. User: Pickywiki

Refocusing the content

[edit]

1/22/09 There was a lot of info regarding race distances beyond the full distance. These are referred to as Ultra's and should be on their own page not this one. I have refocused the content on the 3.8/180/42 distance exclusively.

Yes merge

[edit]

For the most part the information in this article is explained in much better detail in the articles Triathlon and Ironman triathlon. Any information here that is not mentioned in the other two could be easily merged. This article doesn't really serve any notable stand-alone purpose.
