Tranliteration

The tranliteration issues of the uruz unit names is already duplicated in the Mithril (Full Metal Panic!) I don't think there is a need to replicate the relevant information in every single incarnation of Full Metal Panic!. Akatombo 22:20, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

Helmajistan

What is Helmajistan? Is it the general Japanese term for Afghanistan, or is it just a made-up name used only in the FMP?

Afghanistan. GONZO changed it. I guess they did it for political reasons. Same with North Korea, changed it to Khanka for fear of being bad mouthed by Kim Jong Il. 70.68.46.180 05:58, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

It was originally Afghanistan but just before the original release date of the first series the September 11 attacks occured and they didn't want the main character to be from Afghanistan (hence Helmajistan) because they thought it would be unpopular with audiences. --I (talk) 00:10, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

In-Depth Plot

I'm not sure what the standard practice on in-depth plot summaries is, but perhaps a spoiler warning at the top should be included? I realize the words "in-depth" make it obvious spoilers are present, but a little extra warning seems reasonable given just how in-depth this summary is.Bungoman 10:58, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Gates incorrect information

It says that gates killed a subordinate by pushing him out of a helicopter. This is not true. Although in episode 2 he did push him out of the helicopter, but he appears later in another episode reporting a failure to Gates, before being dragged into a pool and beaten. The same henchmen is seen again in episode 11, during a helicopter ride with Gates (Who is balancing an apple on a knife). Freeyourmind775 (talk) 06:21, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

Gates and Yu girls

On a side note, he also seems to have had sexual relations with both Yu Fan and Yu Lan (referring to them as "Lolita-chans"). This is not grounds for making this conclusion. Opinions? If anyone can come up with decent support for the theory, do so. Otherwise, it's gone. Misterstark 22:40, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

ASs or AS's?

Is the plural of AS ASs or AS's, if teh latter then is the possesive ASs'? Should teh plural simply be Arm Slaves and possesive Arm Slave's (s')?

Wraith?

Does anybody know who is Wraith? Obviously 'he' helped Chidori back to see Sousuke. Is 'he' just another character that has very little and almost to none background. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Aurabaras (talk • contribs) 09:55, 13 April 2007 (UTC).

Wraith is a agent of Mithril who was supposedly dispatched to watch Chidori when Sousuke is on a mission or is otherwise incapable of doing so. In reality Wraith is there to be Kaname's true protection, Sousuke is simply there to be a decoy for any would-be kidnappers. This was descibed in the anime when Sousuke submitted a report to Tessa about how he believed Wraith was ineffective at protecting Chidori.Uurmek 08:24, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Cleaning up the characters page.

A lot of the information on the characters of The Second Raid is unnecessary. I have deleted characters such as Tokiwa, Kurz and Mao as they can be found on the main List of Full Metal Panic! characters page. I am working to make any information of main characters from The Second Raid (such as Sousuke, Kaname, Tessa) pertain only to this series. Anyone who wishes to help would be greatly appreciated.Uurmek 08:46, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Vandalism regarding Kurz?

Character pages of Melissa Mao and Kurz Weber were expanded with information about Kurz's death. No reference is given and I believe no recent novels talk about such situation. Moreover, judging from the writing style of an unregistered author, I suspect this is a case of sneaky vandalism. Could somebody look and confirm? BB 17:47, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

Merge Proposal

Someone has made a merge proposal on the main page without writing anything on the discussion page. I would vote AGAINST it because to merge all the information with the FMP main page would result in an article that is too long and give undue weight to a single area in a title/franchise that is released in several types of media. Furthermore because of this most of the information that is written on this page would have to be removed and therefore LOST which is a waste of the time and effort of the editors that created it - especially since there is nothing wrong with what's written here. It certainly doesn't descend into fancruft or the like and would be quite helpful and informative to anyone seeking to learn more about the series. There doesn't seem to much justification to the idea of merging the articles (basically deleting this one without transferring any information over to the main article).

Given that the proposer of the merge hasn't written anything I can't see any good reasons to do so in the first place. --I (talk) 00:19, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
