[edit]I suggest some support is needed for the claim that "In later Norse mythology she was known as Freyja" given the contested authenticity of the Oera Linda book. Obviously, if it were indeed a relatively recent hoax Frya wasn't known to the Norse at all. Melangell 12:25, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
Even more problematic
[edit]The new material added to this article still cites only the Oera Linda book, whose value as a source I have already questioned. It is also unclear which statements are attributed even to that dubious reference: some appear to be no more than entirely unsupported assertions. On the basis of what evidence is it considered a fact that "it was Friso who gave his name to the Frisians", and by whom? Who associates Frya with them and why? Who considers The Oera Linda Book "a Frisian historical manuscript" and why is there no mention of those who consider it anything but? Where are the sources to support the rather ramakable claim about "Friso's" birth and ancestry?? Melangell 11:14, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
Daughters of Frya or anything to do with that is a hoax. It would be utterly hilarious if it wern't for the fact that some people actually believe it. If you go on http://www.pagan-network.org/forums/index.php?topic=22835.0 It shows about 12 pages proving it a hoax. The guy who made it up is called Tony. - Sophie V-H —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.16.74.187 (talk) 09:55, August 22, 2007 (UTC)
