[edit]To refer to George as a "Beatle" and not "musician" at the beginning of the article seems to be too specific and to undermine his career after the Beatles. I am changing it to read "musician George Harrison". Monkeyfinger 02:42, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
The discussion of Handmade Films' deal with the Shaw of Iran, while amusing, is irrelevant. Hence it departs. Tom Duff 14:42, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
Rooms of House
[edit]According to the book ” Friar Park a pictorial history” written by the Cardinals ( Investigate Historians ) on page 35 of the book it states clearly that the castle has 120 rooms. The information regarding the castle in this book comes mostly from the time before George Harrison bought it. But nothing has changed regarding rooms of the castle. In the book there is a map of all 120 rooms. Peter Larsson 77 (talk) 11:26, 13 January 2021 (UTC)
I dont know how to put a foot note in wikipedia. Otherwise I would have done that. But I happily send a pic from page 35 of the book. Peter Larsson 77 (talk) 11:29, 13 January 2021 (UTC)

[edit]I realise modern images of the house itself will be hard to come by due to security concerns, but are there any historical engravings or early photographs of the house to illustrate the article? 86.153.33.241 (talk) 19:03, 12 February 2023 (UTC)
Georges other houses
[edit]At the same time as George owned Friar Park ( They moped into Friar Park in January 1970), he in different times owned a lot of other houses as well. He bought a house on one of the most expensive Streets in the world : North Carolwood Drive ( belonging Holby Hills more exclusive than Bell Air and Beverly Hills)in the early seventiees. The Number was North Carolwood Drive 245, later he sold that house to Burt Reynolds and moved into the much larger North Carolwood Drive 265. He Also owned at some point a house at 1974 Coldwater Canyon Drive in Beverly Hills. A forth house in the LA district was Also owned by George at some point in Encino, another popular district for celebrities to live in. This was Probably the house he flew in from to Carl Perkins funeral in 1998. He owned a big house with 63 Hectar land in Hawaii and a Luxury house in Australia. In Switzerland he owned a big Castle during the last years of his life. He Also owned a Luxory departement in the most expensive part of Central London since late seventiees. All his cars were parked at Friar Park though. George owned 50 to 60 ultra luxury cars. A handfull of Ferraris, a Fleet of the most exklusive Porsches, the most expensive Mercedes, Jaguars, Lamborghinis, BMW s Anton Martins and other luxury cars. But the most loved var was his McClaren F1 which was the best built car for 20 consequtive years and Also the worlds fastest car for 20 years. It cost as much as 5 of the absolute most expensive Ferraris when they launched it. They only made 65 road cars. George Harrisons Mclaren F1 had chassi no 25. George Harrisons Mclaren F1 was the most expensive of all McLarens because of all extra material he had put in the car. Not going into special details just naming one, they had built in a special place where he could store his Fender Stratocaster guitar. George Harrison owned more than 300 Fender Stratocasters and was the biggest fan of the Fender Stratocaster of all guitarists. He sat as a 12-13 year old boy for hours every day in school painting Fender Stratocasters instead of listening to the teacher. George Harrison was going to buy a Fender Stratocaster in 1956, but because of a US embargo there was not one Fender Stratocaster in the whole of Liverpool. A very dissapointed George Harrison had to buy a Chech Stratocaster copy called Futurama. He kept looking for a Fender Stratocaster the years 1957 to 1963 but they were impossible to buy because of the US embargo. In 1960 he foundation one for sale in Germany ( Hamburg) and immidiately made the deal, but the seller conned George and sold it to another guitarist before George got there ( the guitarist in Rory Storm and the Hurricanes). His sister lived in US and he visited her there, but in that sociaty she lived in they had no Fender Stratocasters. Finally George Harrison got his belowed Fender Stratocaster in December 1964. From then on he almost exclusively recorded electric guitar with the Fender Stratocaster for the rest of his life. In a time when he did very few interviews he was Hampus to be interviewed for the official Fender Stratocaster book for 7 days. A book he as a Beatle got the look part of.He bought all his Fender Stratocasters himself because as a Beatle he could not do commercial. George Harrison really was the biggest fan of the Fender Stratocaster of all guitarists. 95.193.168.61 (talk) 16:08, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
"The rumours and tabloid press reports..."
[edit]This phrase occurs twice in the Overview section with no apparent citations, and sounds (ironically) tabloid in tone. 176.85.135.130 (talk) 22:38, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
