Merged in content
[edit]I just merged two other articles into this one. The attribution and history information for the merged text can be found at [1] and [2]. Have fun. --Gmaxwell 06:11, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
- I think you merged it the wrong way. The title of this article should be Battle rapping, and should include stuff about written and freestyled battle raps.--Urthogie 09:19, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm. Easy enough to move and tweak the intro, I think I was pulled in this direction by the text of "battle rap" which implied that a "battle rap" was only a rap about freestyle rap battles.--Gmaxwell 15:46, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah the article had a lot of misinformation(was on my todo list for that reason). Allow me to explain it all:

- Battle- This usually refers to a live, non-recorded diss match. It is often a...
- Freestyle battle- A battle rap that is freestyled. And...
- Freestyle-Off the top of your head
A rap about freestyle battles? "I'm so great at freestyle battles/I whoop em so hard youd think I had a paddle". That type of thing? That's just bragging, and doesn't warrant its own page.
Yeah, so as you can see the pages are filled with misinformation, so its completely understandable that you merged that way. --Urthogie 15:57, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
- Well, there are non-freestyle raps about freestyle raps. I think it's worth mentioning in an article on rap battles or freestyle rap in general since many popular songs are of this type. :) In any case, I still think the merging is an improvement... as least further changes won't be split across three articles. I'll take no offense if you continue to improve it. --Gmaxwell 19:47, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
