Problems
[edit]This article has many problems currently, the biggest one being the complete lack of references.
Either lots of material needs to be outright deleted from the article, or someone has to go through and source hundreds of facts that may or may not actually be true.
This article has been tagged for cleanup since March 2008. It is now June 2009. Perhaps someone needs to be bold and just delete most of the stuff here. Halfacanyon (talk) 04:22, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
- All these freedom of religion articles are copy&paste from the US gov. --Shuki (talk) 18:32, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
Article states:
There was no change in the status of respect for religious freedom during the period covered by this report
What does that mean? What report are we talking about, what period? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.23.24.138 (talk) 07:13, 28 November 2014 (UTC)
Proposed merge
[edit]Support They share the same scope and the article "Freedom of religion in Israel" is already pretty large. Rupert Loup (talk) 20:32, 20 September 2015 (UTC)
- Maybe this whole article should be deleted, instead of removing content from human rights in Israel, which covers every specific issue in detail (not just religious freedom).--Balckagaming (talk) 22:36, 20 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Balckagaming: Sorry, I meant that the article "Human rights in Israel" is already pretty large. And I think that this article could be expanded. Rupert Loup (talk) 01:12, 21 September 2015 (UTC)
- If you want to expand this article to add deeper details and discussions, I have no objection. But I'm against removing content from human rights in Israel, which is important for the reader to get the whole picture about the subject.--Balckagaming (talk) 04:07, 21 September 2015 (UTC)

- Fail to see the issue - As far as I can tell, this article is what is already present in Human_rights_in_Israel#Freedom_of_religion. I would propose deleting this article and making it a redirect to the Israeli article since there is little difference, a sentence or two max. I am going to be bold and "redirect" anyway due to perceived non-issue. Dr Crazy 102 (talk) 05:26, 21 September 2015 (UTC)
- Freedom of religion in Israel is a redirect to Human_rights_in_Israel#Freedom_of_religion. Perhaps the question of this RfC should be whether the subject should be split into a separate article ?“WarKosign” 06:16, 21 September 2015 (UTC)
- Cough* I just changed the article into a redirect since the two sections were (for all intents and purposes) the same, hence the "merge". Dr Crazy 102 (talk) 06:34, 21 September 2015 (UTC)
- Before the recent edits this article was a stub. I believe it should not be a redirect and should contain most of the material from Human_rights_in_Israel#Freedom_of_religion, with only a summary and a link here left there. “WarKosign” 08:08, 21 September 2015 (UTC)
- I think that the redirect should work just fine for now, it can be split in two articles if the section gets too long in the future. Rupert Loup (talk) 14:51, 21 September 2015 (UTC)
