[edit]
An image used in this article, File:FSF-Logo.svg, has been nominated for deletion at Wikimedia Commons in the following category: Deletion requests August 2011
What should I do?

Don't panic; a discussion will now take place over on Commons about whether to remove the file. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion, although please review Commons guidelines before doing so.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.

UNESCO

[edit]

I work for the FSF, and specifically on the Free Software Directory, so I am not going to edit this article. But, I wanted to make a comment that I find the statement "From the other side, as of 2011, FSF directory is directly linked from UNESCO website", to be misleading. The term "From the other side," shouldn't be applied in this context. Not only is the statement unrelated to the preceding text and discussion, but, even if it were somehow a rational counter/follow-up, it would seem reasonable to add that the Free Software Directory prominently states, "The Free Software Directory is a project of the Free Software Foundation (FSF) and United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)". --Joshuagay (talk) 21:39, 15 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Category list outdated

[edit]

My suggestion is to delete the category list and provide only a link to the category overview on FSD: http://directory.fsf.org/wiki/Category/All. Jesus Presley (talk) 07:22, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
