[edit]There is a fairly long article on Citizendium [1] which might provide material to improve this. 174.112.215.43 (talk) 13:10, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
- I worked on the FreeS/WAN project & wrote the CZ article. I think there is useful stuff there that could be incorporated here, but do not want to tackle transferring it myself because I am far from unbiased. Any volunteers? Pashley (talk) 14:01, 23 April 2019 (UTC)

[edit]I have an unreliable memory of hearing Hugh Daniel say more than once that the actual work on FreeS/WAN was being done in Anguilla by people who had never been citizens or residents of the USA, so that the latter's government could not restrict its availability or prosecute the creators for facilitating crime. Possibly I'm confusing FreeS/WAN with some other cypherpunk project, that Hugh was funding. —Tamfang (talk) 21:31, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
