Removed a number of material from the page, much of it (ironically, given the individual) quite subjective in nature. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.252.79.14 (talk) 20:28, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't this "Filmography" section more objective and instructive than the previous "Selected filmography"?

Getting Wiseman's films

[edit]

hey folks -- a big wiseman fan here... it's always been impossible to get his films on video or disc... anyone have any recommendations? btw huge apologies if this is mentioned in the article -- I need to go through and read it through thoroughly. Where do you rent/borrow them?

DVD's are now available for purchase to the public starting 12/4/2007. Previously availability was limited to commercial or educational institutions only. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tylercheung (talkcontribs) 01:14, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

theatrical direction

[edit]

Wiseman has directed a number of plays, in English and in French, and I believe directed an opera based on his movie "Welfare". Should this be added into this article?--Vistawhite (talk) 05:08, 26 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Awkward pairing of sentences?

[edit]

"He spent 1954 to 1956 serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. The Korean War was effectively over by July of 1953" are two sentences in the first paragraph under 'Life and Career'.

The second sentence negates the first? Why does a summary of his life and career require a statement of a date of the functional end of a war?

Not to mention of the two citations offered for the first sentence, one is dead (Drexel University), but some searching using archive.org finds a brief uncited blurb that certainly does not state that he served during the Korean War and the other (NYT) does not support the claim in any way. 64.114.222.202 (talk) 20:52, 6 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
