advertisement or wiki?
[edit]this reads like a business brochure or magazine ad. Zxjams 03:40, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
This reads like self-promotion. Someone please improve it.
- Done. I've changed a substantial amount of the languaged and referenced sources. Any further corrections shouldn't be as time consuming for someone to improve. Alyoshka 01:32, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- I've added a few more menu items to the description. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Theamazingguzzardo (talk • contribs) 00:17, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
Company Importance
[edit]Frankly, I'm a little confused by the current inclusion of the company importance tag. I don't feel it's my burden to defend deleting it as there hasn't been any discussion as to why it was ever added. It ought to be removed as there is no question that this company is just as important as any other included in wikipedia. The article does a good job of explaining what Freddy's is without being a mere advertisement. Unless there is a valid objection, I will remove that tag in the near future. Alyoshka 03:23, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
- Here's a valid objection: To be included with an article on Wikipedia, companies must meet the notability criteria for companies. These criteria require that sufficient independent sources must be given to show that the company is notable (for example, in-depth press coverage that goes clearly beyond a mere business directory listing). Currently, no such sources are given in the article; the only source is the company's web site, which is of course not independent of the company. That's why notability is questionable. --B. - Thanks B. Wolterding. I read what you link and agreed. I substantially changed the page, because too much of it read like promotional information. Then I used articles from a variety of sources: local weeklies, business journals, and newspapers to reference the article sufficiently. If there is anything else you, or anyone else can see, I'd like to know so that it can be improved. If not, I think the tag can be removed. Alyoshka 01:31, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- It no longer reads like a promotional article, but I still don't see notability. The resources appear to be their own website and press releases. I do not imagine that industry websites that post press releases from companies really indicate notability (I'm sure this has been discussed elsewhere in notability discussions?) The QSR link is not an actual article. -Lciaccio (talk) 13:48, 27 May 2014 (UTC)

Fast Casual?
[edit]The current article says Freddy's is a fast casual concept. Freddy's is fast food, through and through. There is nothing about the service or the food quality that gives it a bump into fast casual. They don't even bring the food out to you like CFA. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.38.216.30 (talk) 20:56, 5 December 2016 (UTC)
