Box Office
[edit]Box office figures were added to this page by 84.173.13.117. However this user has also altered some pages in a way that seems to suggest vandalism. I attempted to verify these figures but could not.
Summer Catch was quoted as grossing $59 million but according to Rotten Tomatoes only grossed $19 million in the U.S. (I think) [1].
Road Trip was quoted as grossing $352 million but according to IMDb only grossed $68 million in the U.S. [2].
Of course the quoted figures could be worldwide but without references there is no way knowing whether they are accurate, estimates or completely made-up. I shall contact the user and ask him to provide some references. If anyone else can verify these figures, please revert my changes.

This box office website <http://www.the-numbers.com/movies/2000/RTRIP.php> quotes the US box for Road Trip as $68.5 million, and the international box as $51.2 million, thus worldwide as $119.7 million. US box for Summer Catch was $19.7 million. Jrgilb (talk) 01:11, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for File:B000092Q5C.jpg
[edit]File:B000092Q5C.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 21:34, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Nick Fury?
[edit]Are there any sources floating about out there that could confirm that he's even "in talks" to portray Nick Fury? Th 2005 15:12, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for File:Earl Bassett 2.jpg
[edit]File:Earl Bassett 2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 06:46, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
No profile photo?
[edit]This is a Hollywood actor with a long career...I'm surprised not to find a photo of the man anywhere. I had to go to IMDb to remind myself what he looked like.
I know there are a lot of technical and copyright rules to using appropriate photos so I'm reluctant to go grab one off the web. But this is a real gap in this profile that should be remedied. 63.143.234.56 (talk) 20:30, 22 July 2013 (UTC)

Date of Death
[edit]The date of Fred's death was incorrect. I corrected it. "Actor Fred Ward has died, according to his publicist, Ron Hofmann.
The star, who brought gentlemanly gruffness to films that included The Right Stuff, Henry and June and The Player died Sunday, May 8 at the age of 79. No cause of death was given." (Quoted from National Public Radio website.) (talk) 21:13, 15 May 2022 (UTC)
Birth name?
[edit]What is Fred Wards birth name? Here on Wikipedia we go with "Freddie Joe Ward", so does Variety. Hollywood Reporter and New York, on the other hand, go with "Frederick Joseph Ward". Like a famous FBI agent once said : "The truth is out there"! But what is the truth...? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.69.14.132 (talk) 06:19, 16 May 2022 (UTC)
- I dug into this myself when he passed. Per the California Birth Index, he was indeed christened Freddie Joe Ward at birth. I imagine the discrepancy might have come from him using "Frederick Joseph" professionally, given that "Freddie Joe" might've seemed a little juvenile, but that's just me spitballing.
