Comments

  • No surprises that there's an article at Manager (association football) which would be relevant here!
  • Is it worth noting that he appears not to have played football himself?
I would say yes, but I can't say for 100% certain that he never turned out for Stockport in their early years in the local leagues. He and his family were involved with the club for sometime, so may well have laced up at some point. Kosack (talk) 13:25, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • " seek reelection " needs linking too.
  • " First Division" can be linked since you link Second Division.
  • And promotion.
  • "Second Division " is overlinked in the Stockport section.
  • "ending the year" odd way of describing a football season.
  • "At the time of his departure, the Athletic News summarised his..." Stewart's instead of his.
  • " campaign.[6][5]" order.
  • "Southern Football League" is overlinked in the "Southern League" section.
  • "£4 a week" worth inflating.
  • Tottenham is overlinked.
  • "winning the Welsh Cup two weeks later and added the Charity Shield in" against who?
  • Stats table needs row/col scopes.
  • Where are Cardiff City stats ref'd?
  • Why are "Runner-up" and "Winner" capitalised?
  • What makes gogogocounty.org RS?
The site is operated by Ian Watts and Marcus Heap who are employed by County as its official historians. Their names are listed on the company directory. Kosack (talk) 13:25, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ref 17 should be pp.
  • Could add a "People from Oldham" kind of category here.

That's it, on hold while we deal with this trivia. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 19:18, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@The Rambling Man: Thanks for taking a look, I've addressed all of the points above. Let me know what you think. Kosack (talk) 13:25, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Great. I made a tiny tweak to get the last ref out of the infobox, feel free to revert if you detest it. I'm promoting this to GA now. Cheers. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 14:22, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
