Alex Graham... drew how many comic strips?

OVER 9000

[edit]

It's not clear from this article if the strip is still in production. The cartoonist Graham died in 1991, but who's doing the strips now? -- Mad Thinker 09/13/2009 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mad Thinker (talkcontribs) 13:15, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

208.31.142.32 (talk) 17:47, 29 November 2009 (UTC)Have only been acquainted with the strip recently because of the internet and the comics that are accessible. Wanted to thank Mr. Graham for his wonderful comedy and laughter that is in the world because of him and his 'gift'. Unfortunately, just found out that he is not on this earth any more. My thanks to his continuing family.208.31.142.32 (talk) 17:47, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect title picture

[edit]

I noticed that the picture accompanying this article spells the title as "Bassett" when it should be "Basset". Just wanted to point that out. 152.2.169.45 (talk) 18:28, 9 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Apparently it has been published both ways. I have created a redirect for Fred Bassett to this article. --DThomsen8 (talk) 12:42, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Gerrahtavit"

[edit]

I recall that Fred often was scolded by his owner with the exclamation "GERRAHTAVIT" ("get out of it"). While this might be unremarkable to British readers, I could only guess at what the spelling meant. Indeed, it seems to be obscure aside from this one mention by Eric Partridge.
