Article name

[edit]

Is there any reason why this page isnt called simply - Frank Stagg???--Vintagekits 01:19, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It was moved for some spurious reason, in fact there's absolutely reason it should have been moved. The existence of Frank Stagg (theologian) does not mean this article should be moved, merely a link to the other article placed there. I'm moving it back, and will add the appropriate link. Coventry Magistates

[edit]

On Friday 8th June 1973 Stagg and Patrick Fell were accused of the control and management of the Coventry Unit of the IRA which was organized and trained for the use of physical force to promote a political object [Priest has an answer; The Times; 12 Jun 1973; pg2 col A]

Terrorism

Which source, Snappy? Gob Lofa (talk) 13:34, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I've changed the category. Snappy (talk) 14:04, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Good stuff. Gob Lofa (talk) 14:08, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I've changed it back, sources say he was convicted of planning a bombing campaign, which was terrorism according to the British authorities. Snappy (talk) 14:17, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I see. So the British government considers Bomber Harris a terrorist? Gob Lofa (talk) 14:33, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Sir Arthur Harris is not relevant to this discussion. Did the British court charge Stagg with terrorism offences? Snappy (talk) 16:50, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
He's relevant because you brought up planning a bombing campaign and how that's described by British authorities. Stagg was charged with criminal damage and conspiracy, not terrorism; I'm happy to create a new category to reflect that if you really want to include the charge. Gob Lofa (talk) 17:31, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Stagg was convicted of organising a terrorist campaign. Snappy (talk) 18:02, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Then why does the article say different? Gob Lofa (talk) 18:06, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
What new category are you proposing? Snappy (talk) 18:12, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You didn't answer my question. [Category:Irish republicans imprisoned for criminal damage] or similar. Gob Lofa (talk) 18:15, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, if you create that category, I'll support add it to this article instead of the current one. Snappy (talk) 18:20, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Grand. Gob Lofa (talk) 18:23, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
