Notes

[edit]
  • added cat
  • where'd you get his full name? maybe you should begin the body with "Francis John Deig" and source it there
  • Where'd you get his birthday?
  • ref 1 doesn't seem to say he was born in Black Township, Indiana?
  • I'm not sure it as actually called "Mount Vernon Senior High School" then? Maybe remove the senior.
  • hmm, do we think we should say where those high schools are?
  • body doesnt say he played at marquette from 1928–1931
  • in ref 1, should we mention that game he was selected to play in?
  • i dont see in ref 1 where it said he played basketball at marquette?
  • "Fullback, punter (football)" isnt in the body
  • Also that quote in the body said he was an end
  • "football and basketball coach at St. Augustine High School" Where did it say basketball?
  • "finished his time at St. Augustine with 24 consecutive wins." it looked like they were including 1937 too in that total?
  • "1941–1958 St. Thomas (MN)" it looks like he started as AD in 1940 according to the source?
  • ref 14 says what he was doing after his football career.
  • is there a ref for the record table?
  • He died on Oct 28 per the source because it said Friday and the source is Saturday.
  • didn't see anymore details on his football or basketball career at marquette?
  • he was inducted into the University of St. Thomas Athletics Hall of Fame in 1983
  • this says he "graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a BA in 1941" and "Deig held the St. Thomas football record for most wins (56), and was the only coach to win four MIAC championships (1947,1948,1949, and 1956)" and "he was named the National Catholic Small College Coach of the Year. "

That's all I think. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 13:02, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
