Mr. Magoo?

[edit]

There's no evidence that Magoo's creator John Hubley ever attended Harvard so he didn't base the character on "his old professor". It's not impossible that Hubley knew of Magoun but I'd like to see better evidence of the connection. Gr8white 23:55, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I modified the reference to Magoo to indicate the connection is dubious. Maybe it should just be deleted. Gr8white 00:10, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't recommend deletion -- it's so thoroughly part of the Magoun story, it'll just be restored. I've had some communication with M's family, and will see if I can get some sort of confirmation. DavidOaks 14:04, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
More than two years later, I've restored it, with a clear indication of its legendary status. DavidOaks (talk) 01:08, 19 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
