Removing some commentary from the article. It's relevant, though: In 1753, a different Francis Gastrell (also a clerical gentleman from Cheshire) acquired New Place, William Shakespeare's final place of residence in Stratford-upon-Avon. Several editors (including the undersigned) have wrongly linked Bishop Gastrell to Shakespeare's home.
