Name
[edit]Per request by User:Charles, I am posing the question of the name of this article. She is married to Karl Habsburg-Lothringen, thus her last name is the same as his. Gryffindor 08:03, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- I believe it should be moved back as von Habsburg is more commonly used in relation to her. - dwc lr (talk) 12:19, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- Either Francesca von Habsburg or Archduchess Francesca of Austria. I haven't seen many Archdukes and Archduchesses use the -Lothringen part. Charles 16:39, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
- I get 104 Google News hits for "Francesca von Habsburg", 6 for "Archduchess Francesca" none of which use "of Austria", and 3 for "Francesca von Habsburg-Lothringen". I think it should be moved back to "Francesca von Habsburg" as that appears to be the most common. - dwc lr (talk) 13:43, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
- The correct name according to nobility customs is Francesca of Austria (with Archduchess or without), the correct name according to her Austrian citizenship is Francesca Habsburg-Lothringen without any "von", and if her husband also inherited his father's German nationality (which is not sure, because I don't know whether Otto was nationalized before Karl was born), her name by German law is Francesca von Habsburg. However, whether it be somewhere official or no, Francesca of Habsburg is in common use. --84.154.52.60 (talk) 14:53, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
