I have read with interest this article. However, I am not convinced by the ancestry, parents and uncles of F-M.de Reggio as mentionned... Do you have any proof of his belonging, even as a cadet, to the House of Este? Moreover, the link to Gal. Beauregard does not prove anything either? Where have you found infos on his military carrer prior to Louisiana also? Last but not least, please, note that his wife's surname is Fleuriau with a U at the end not an N. As a descendant of Reggio and his wife, I am mostly interrested in both your proofs and the correctness of the data on F-M. de Reggio! Kind regards,
