English translation of 99F/L9.99

[edit]

The English translation of 99FF that I read had been localised to Britain (main action takes place in London, not Paris, prices in pounds, etc.). Does anyone know of a specific term for that type of translation? samwaltz 18:40, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

possible vandalism gone unnoticed

[edit]

the article says "his father, Jean-Michel Beigbeder, is a headhunter." :))

are you sure about this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.49.248.147 (talk) 16:02, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Page 159 of the Grasset edition of Un Roman Francais reads (in translation) 'My father runs an American firm of "headhunters" (my father is [was] one of the importers into France of the profession of "headhunter"' )- but there is also the amusingly mocking section on page 269 on the truthfulness, or otherwise, of his earlier books! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Didymuss (talkcontribs) 11:48, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the sentence in question, It's still unreferenced (almost 3 years later) and has little to do with this article itself. His father has no article of his own... Fylbecatulous talk 14:48, 20 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
