Disambig needed

[edit]

This page desperately needs a disambiguation page, but a. I don't know how and b. is either topic worthy of an article? Thought it would be a good idea to have someone else take a look - thanks. Jessicapierce 01:20, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done. I renamed this page "Fox's Biscuits" and created a disambiguation page at "Fox's". -- Bryan H Bell (talk) 21:23, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ginger nuts

[edit]

Ginger nut biscuits were invented in 1992? That can't be right, surely? Daibhid C (talk) 19:44, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I tend to agree. Well I don't just tend to I definitely agree. Also my dad remembers sports biscuits from the 1950s so I'm pretty sure that section is wrong. It offers no sources for said information either. I've added citation needed to both dates but I think it should be deleted really. Nirejhenge (talk) 16:29, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fox's Biscuits Closure

[edit]

Out of the 3 Fox's Biscuits sites (Batley - Head Office, Kirkham & Uttoxeter), only Kirkham will remain operational.

2 options have been put forward : a) Close Batley & Uttoxeter sites and build a NEW one in Yorkshire. b) Close Batley and extend the Uttoxeter site. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.103.90.206 (talk) 20:45, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Luxury ...

[edit]

McVities may be the brand leader but Fox's are the luxurious and tasty...yummy ! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.103.90.206 (talk) 20:47, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Relationship to Fox's Confectionery

[edit]

Is there any relationship between Fox's Biscuits and Fox's Confectionery? Both companies have apparently been owned by Northern Foods, but neither article mentions the other. EdJogg (talk) 13:03, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

They are rivals. Fox's Biscuits couldn't use a bear in advertising for fear of infringing the Fox's Glacier Mints trademark of a polar bear.[1] Fences&Windows 00:40, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That's interesting, thank you. I had always assumed they were just part of the same company. I suspect I am not alone in this misunderstanding, so it would be good if the articles addressed the issue in some way. (I'm not really the person to do this, it's way off my normal subject area of editing!)
And thank you for finding two more references for Fox's Confectionery! -- EdJogg (talk) 11:12, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
