Pictures?

[edit]

Is it not possible to get some pictures of the actual awards?

Belgium

[edit]

Is it possible to remove the picture of the US Army Class A blouse, or at the very least, find a different one? By Army Regulation, the Belgian Fourragère is only authorized for wear by members of the unit who were in the unit for the period of the award, permanent wear. Considering that the persons blouse pictured contains no WW2 ribbons, it's safe to assume they are not a WW2 veteran and could no way have been present for that award. I understand that it's just to show the award, but that's a terrible example. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Erikwithak86 (talkcontribs) 03:02, 9 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

3rd Infantry Division

[edit]

I have checked the Lineage of History for the 3rd Infantry Division at the U.S. Army Center of Military History, and there is no record of the 3rd Infantry Division being awarded the World War I fourragere. The unit was awarded one for World War II, however.

Additionally, the 2014 edition of "The Marne Standard," issued to new soldiers assigned to the 3rd Infantry Division, does not list a World War I fourragere among the unit's honors and awards.

Unless someone can provide evidence, the 3rd Infantry Division really did earn a fourragere for action World War I, I'm deleting it from inclusion in the list of World War I recipients.
