Cleanup

Guys, I'm currently a student at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and I wrote this summary a long time ago, while I was in high school. When someone who read it on Wikipedia sent me the link, I was surprised. Firstly, my summary is not particularly well-written. Secondly, someone simply stole my work, as I am not cited in it at all.

I originally posted my summary in the sparknotes message board here: http://mb.sparknotes.com/mb.epl?b=44&m=926432&t=275456

Happy reading, and enjoy the summary of the book. Do not, however, expect it to be an eloquent one; expect it to simply be a complete one. If wikipedia does keep it, a citation would be appreciated.

I don't know who the original poster was, as I copied and pasted it from the main article when I put it here. However, re: the above, I've deleted what was pasted here. -Classicfilms (talk) 00:39, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

I added the cleanup tag to this article: The "Book Summary" section needs to be pruned substantially. As it stands now, the summary describes each chapter in so much detail it can hardly be called a summary. If anyone has time on their hands, please trim the summary down to just the important stuff.  — AnnaKucsma  Speak! 20:11, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Also, it is very poorly written. Quality=low. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.62.129.161 (talk) 04:00, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

I agree. I would like to propose that the entire summary be moved to the talk page for clean up. The article should follow these guidelines: Wikipedia:WikiProject Books/Non-fiction article. -Classicfilms 16:41, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
Also, I could not find guidelines for book summaries, but I did find the following guideline for film summaries:
Plot summaries should be between 400 and 700 words (about 600 words), but should not exceed 900 words unless there is a specific reason such as a complicated plot.
http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Films/Style_guidelines#Plot
I think that the summary section of this article should adhere to this guideline as well. -Classicfilms 16:45, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

This summary does not adhere to Wikipedia standards - see above. It must be edited down to about 600 words before being restored back to the article. -Classicfilms (talk) 03:39, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
