"Fosmids are 40 kb of random genomic DNA."

This is wrong. Fosmids like pCC1FOS (8.1 kb in size) have specific, known sequence. Their inserts can be up to 40 kb in size and that DNA can be random gDNA.

Also, I don't think this page is an advertisement. I challenge the person who tagged it as an advertisement to provide more details and justification for this.

In no way is this an "advertisement" for Fosmids - it would be the same as advertising for "fruit" -- it does not make sense. Flibbertigibbets (talk) 18:23, 7 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
