In February 2022, the Horizon 5 game was added three Chinese cars into the game via patch (NIO EP9, MG 3, Wuling Hongguang S). This is probably the very first world-famous racing game that has Chinese city cars (MG 3 and the Wuling). (Despite the Gran Turismo series is "encyclopedia of cars", it never do that, and mainly focused on Japanese automakers.) The act of supporting Chinese automobiles is highly criticized.
