Is Fort Erie in a particular county? If so, what county?

Please note that the poster of the original question was a US-based IP. It's not reasonable to expect an American to recognize or understand the Ontario-exclusive usage of "region" as being essentially equivalent to "county" — in the entire rest of the world, counties and regions are two very different things.
