The Ecoinstitute?
[edit]I removed this line from the page... Since I the link is dead, and I can find no such organization by that name which has links to education:
- In the United States new examples include the Ecoinstitute.

References?
[edit]The article includes a reference simply as "Lettieri; Grahn et al." I have not been able to track down any such reference. If this reference can't be clarified, it should be removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cercopithecidae (talk • contribs) 20:49, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
- I agree, and this is an important point. This topic needs proper verification that there are in fact benefits to the idea. The link was imported from the German version and has been widely cited without having been found, by many others. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rixs (talk • contribs) 17:19, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
- The previous reference to Grahn appears mean the book Grahn, Patrik; Mårtensson, Fredrika (1997). Ute på dagis: hur använder barn daghemsgården? (in Swedish). MOVIUM. co-authored by Bodil Lindblad, Paula Nilsson and Anna Ekman. I haven't found copies of it but its in a library. There are a couple of other references that do not have a good record on the Internet. Rixs (talk) 13:48, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
- The Grahn et al reference is Grahn, P., Martensson, F., Lindblad, B., Nilsson, P., & Ekman, A. (1997) Ute på Dagis Stad and Land 145. Håssleholm, Sweden: Nora Skåne Offset. There are no direct translations into English. However the I Ur och Skur organisation have an English summary in paper format. Further reference to this piece of research can be found from Children, Youth and Environments Center for Research and Design in their Fact Sheet 1 2007 "The Benefits of Nature for Children's Health" Ollythesnail (talk) 21:15, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks. Are you able to contact I Ur och Skur and get them to upload the English summary to their web site? (please? :-) --- Rixs (talk) 10:42, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
Page title and coverage of Secret Garden
[edit]I propose two actions about the organisation of this page and its content.
1. Rename "Wood Kindergarten" to "Forest Kindergarten" and redirect from here to there. At the moment that page redirects to here. Although "Wood kindergarten" is a closer translation from the German, it is not a comfortable phrase in English. The literature uses a variety of terms[1][2], of which "forest kindergarten" seems to be the most appropriate.
2. Move the material on The Secret Garden to its own page. This nursery school in Scotland is very notable, but this page is dominated by that which is not appropriate.

Neutral Point of view?
[edit]The article is currently really biased toward the benefits of these forests kindergarten, with only a small paragraph buried in the text talking about danger and the like. Paedric (talk) 14:42, 25 June 2012 (UTC)
safety?
[edit]I think this needs to be addressed, both in the sense of kids wandering off or undesirables wandering in, and sticks in the eye/scrapes/emergency communication...--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 10:51, 3 October 2017 (UTC)
