Needs a picture

This article would benefit from a photo. —Christian Campbell 20:15, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Invented word, merge?

[edit]

I get that the word "foreshoreway" is an amalgamation of "foreshore" and "way," but this is not a valid word or term according to the Oxford English Dictionary or Merriam Webster. Should this be merged back into the esplanade article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.193.252.168 (talk) 12:57, 7 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Whose Foreshoreway?

[edit]

It seems that this word is particular to Australia, maybe even only to Australia's Gold Coast. I couldn't find it in any glossary of Australian words, let alone standard English dictionaries. Furthermore, the word appears nowhere in the reference referring to the Vermont, USA Trail Finder website. And what's with the photo of a road in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn? Even a Brooklynite fond of viewing Australian Television programs might have a tough time understanding the word. This article either needs to be merged with some other article, or made more particularly Australian with more Australian references and photos of Foreshoreways in Australia. Right she'll be, mate! --@Efrat (talk) 10:10, 10 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

But is it really a greenway? A trail rather? Rwood128 (talk) 21:36, 12 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It appears that a foreshoreway is a greenway, in that it links open spaces, so that I have added the content of this article to Greenway (landscape) Rwood128 (talk) 12:19, 13 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Or should it be merged with Linear park? Rwood128 (talk) 18:22, 15 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
