I think the math is wrong in the section "Example calculation for a DNA profile"

If you look at what it is talking about, there are 2 separate alleles (14 and 17). The text implies, but does not state, that they are independent of each other. If this is true, then the proper way to compute the combined probability of 2 separate and independent probabilities is....

(Probability of allele 14) X (probability of allele 17), i.e. it's multiplicative, not additive. A 10% chance times a 10% chance = a 1% chance.05:44, 19 January 2019 (UTC)Joemland (talk)jmland
